Alaterre Vanity Top Installation Instructions – Materials Required:                  
●  faucet and drain kit (not included)
●  Clear silicone latex caulk & caulking gun (not included)
●  clean dry rag (not included)
●  clean damp rag(not included)

Step 1-Vanity Top Preparation:
Install the faucet system into the pre-drilled locations of the top (faucet and
drain not included).  Follow the manufactures installation instructions to install the faucet and drain.  Do not over tighten the faucet and drain
connection.  Doing so may cause damage to the top.  Be sure not to set the top on faucet supply lines as this may cause damage to the faucet.
 
Step 2-Cabinet Preparation:
Set the vanity into place according the
manufacture installation instructions. Once the vanity is installed, use a dry rag to wipe off any dirt or dust from the top edge
of the vanity.


Step 3-Installation of Your Vanity Top:
A helper is recommended for the installation of the vanity top.  Apply a ¼” bead of silicone latex caulk to the top edge of the vanity.  The Caulk will adhere the Marble Top to the vanity.  Place the top onto the vanity.  Make sure the top is centered or as close as possible to its final location.  Avoid moving the top as much as possible once it is set into place.  Once the top is set into place avoid moving the top.  Caution: always carry any natural stone product vertically as much as possible.  Clean up any excess chalk with a clean damp rag.
 
Step 4-Installation of Black Splash
Apply 2 beads of clear silicone latex caulk to the back of the splash and 1 to the bottom of the back splash.  Carefully set the back splash into place (centered on the top) and push firmly against the wall.  Clean up any excess caulk with a clean damp rag.

 
Step 5-Drying Time:
Avoid moving the top.  Make sure and allow the top dry for at least 24.  This will ensure proper adhesion to the vanity.

Cleaning and Polishing Your Vanity Top
We recommend dusting frequently with a clean soft damp rag.  Use a stone soap or mild liquid detergent and warm water.  For all other cleaners, follow the instructions on the container.  The frequency in which you clean you top will depend on usage.  Heavier use will require the top to be cleaned more frequent.  Avoid abrasive cleaners or rough cleaning pads.  Do not use products that contain lemon, vinegar, or other acids.  Using this type of cleaning process will cause the finish to dull.  Liquid spills such as alcohol, medications, etc. should be cleaned up promptly.  Some liquids with high-acid content can etch your vanity top if left for any length of time.  Popular products that should be promptly cleaned up are shaving cream, toothpaste, perfume, cologne, nail polish remover, hair coloring, or perm products, shampoo, drain and toilet bowl cleaners.  Place protective pads on the bottom of any heavy objects such as pottery, appliances or other objects that may scratch the vanity top surface.  Do not stand or place extremely heavy items on the vanity top.
 
Lifetime Residential Limited Warranty
Alaterre vanity tops are designed with top quality materials and workmanship.  Alaterre warrants that the vanity top will be free from material and manufacturing defects for life, provided the original purchaser resides in or owns the home of installation. A warrants that the vanity top will not crack, discolor or chip during the lifetime warranty provides that the top is maintained according to the installation and maintenance instructions contained within and supplied by Alaterre.  This warranty is limited to repairing or replacing your product.  The warranty shall not cover replacement and/ or repairs as a result of any misuse, improper maintenance or normal wear and tear.  This warranty does not cover any variation in color, markings or inconsistencies.  This warranty does not include damages caused by improper installation nor does it include loss of time, inconvenience, incidental expenditures or consequential damages.  Some states do not allow exclusions or limitations so that these limitations and exclusions may not apply to you.  This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other legal rights, which vary from state to state.  This warranty is in lieu of any other express warranties.  This warranty is available only by notice to Alaterre, through the dealer from whom the purchase was made accompanied by the original invoice.  The execution of this warranty can only be authorized by Alaterre.
